We had the BEST day in nursery today! As part of our topic, People Who Help Us, we had some very special visitors—two real footballers from Derry City Football Club, our own pupil Indies daddy, Ciaron and fellow player Micky. They were here to tell us all about their jobs as footballers.
The children were SO excited! They chanted all the Derry City songs, waved their red and white flags, and cheered for the Red and White Army!
Our special guests, Ciaron and Micky, answered lots of questions about being footballers. Then, we got to go outside for a kickabout with them—how cool is that?
They were so kind and even signed autographs on the back of our flags and jerseys. We had so much fun, and we will never forget this special day!
