Notices for week beginning Monday October 16th 2017
Halloween Fancy Dress
This week we sent home our sponsorship forms for the Halloween Fancy Dress. This annual event is not only a lot of fun for all involved – the children, parents and staff but it is also our one and only fund raising event of the year. The money raised allows us to subsidise so many trips, buy prizes and bring along shows etc. This year we have promised the children that at least 50% of all money raised will be managed by the school council to sort playground equipment. We would therefore ask for your continued support of this event.
Christmas Shoebox Appeal
Last year we sadly did not manage to get this special initiative off the ground in time. This Wednesday at assembly we will be launching it for this year. We have arranged that the shoeboxes will not be collected until November 20th. The children will be given a leaflet at the assembly that explains what goes into the shoe box which eventually will make its way into the hands of a yourng boy or girl somewhere in the world that will have nothing for Christmas but this. There is no reason why you cannot get started straight away. All you will need is a shoe box!

Could we continue to ask that PE kit is brought in each Monday. We still have large numbers of children who cannot take part in PE lessons due to a lack of kit. We are sure everyone appreciates that exercise is SO important for our kids these days.
