Notices for week beginning 7th October

As you may be aware from our Facebook, one of our parents, Joanne O’Doherty nominated the school for the Cash For Kids NI Schools’ Challenge in conjunction with Cool FM. We are delighted to announce that we have been chosen as one of the twenty finalists.

We have from September 30th to 30th October to fundraise as much money as possible. The school which raises the most money will be awarded a top up grant of £5,000 – so if the top fundraising school raises £3,000 they will receive £8,000 back! The school which comes second will receive a top up of £2,000 and the schools that are placed third to tenth will receive a top up of £1,000 each.

Holy Child are reaching out to the school community and beyond to gather support for our efforts. I am sure that you agree our children deserve the best. In the current economic climate school budgets are stretched to breaking point. Our budgets are being eaten up by basic requirements such as books, supplies and utilities. We are hoping to use the money raised for our forest school and outdoor play equipment. This will be of huge benefit to all our children from Nursery to Primary Seven.

We would really appreciate any donations no matter how small – “Remember there is no such thing as a small act of kindness, every act creates a ripple”.
