And so we have reached the final week of the Spring Term 2018.
This week the KS1 clubs (P3/4) will run as normal on Monday and Tuesday.
Netball for P4/5 will take place on Tuesday but there will be no Swimming and the only club on this Wednesday is ICT.
THURSDAY WILL BE A HALF DAY CLOSING. PLEASE, PLEASE DO SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL AS NOT COMING IN RESULTS IN A FULL DAY ABSENCE CODE. OUR END OF MONTH ASSEMBLY AND ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES ETC WILL BE GIVEN OUT AT AN ASSEMBLY ON THURSDAY MORNING. CLOSING TIMES: NURSERY AT 12.00, P1-4 12.25 AND P5-7 12.30. SCHOOL REOPENS ON MONDAY APRIL 9TH.
Please check out all the other news in this section. You will find a very interesting interview with the Mayor held by one of our P2 children this week as well as news about our school council.
Congratulations to our P4 children on a great turn out this morning at the Palm Sunday, Do this in Memory of Me Mass in St Mary's Church. On Tuesday 27th, these children will be making the Sacrament of Penance at 6pm.
Other news for our P4s- They have been participating in the Parents in Numeracy Programme (PIN)over the past 6 weeks. In total 9 games were sent home. There will be a special assembly for any P4 who played 5 or more of the games at home during the programme. This will take place at 2.40pm on Wednesday afternoon and we are hoping their Parent Partner will also be present to receive their certificate. The children receiving certificates will bring home an invite to the assembly tomorrow.
Our special assembly for this Wednesday morning will be all about Holy Week and this will be performed by all our P3 children. We hope lots of family members can come along to support them. It will take place at 9.05am in the school hall.
Our annual book fair is doing particularly well. Books can still be bought on Monday and Tuesday of the week ahead. Thanks so much for your support.
Finally, being Holy Week, we will be hoping to create a great total for our Trocaire collection. I will be collecting last week's money tomorrow morning and again on Thursday morning.
