Notices for the week beginning Monday March 12th 2018
Club News
Monday clubs will be on as usual - Feis Rehearsals with Miss Harkin/ Ipads & Cookery & Drama for KS1
Art and Craft will NOT be on Tuesday this week as Miss Cullen is attending training elsewhere.
Swimming will be on Tuesday along with Netball.
Drama, ICT and Tin Whistle continue on Wednesday
Football on Friday.
As yet, I cannot confirm Thursday netball as this will depend on matches that need to be played. The girls will be kept informed.
Assembly
This week our P3-P7 assembly will take place on Thursday rather than Wednesday. It will be at the same time of 9.05am in the hall. This will be a special St Patrick's Day assembly led by our P4 children. Parents and Grandparents etc are very welcome to come and along and see them perform.
Trocaire
As you know this got off to a great start in week one with a collection of £65. Week Two was even better with £169 pounds collected. The money is collected each Monday morning for the week before so we look forward to seeing the new total tomorrow for last week - week 3.
P7 News
Well done to all our P7 children who took part in the annual residential to Gortatole. It would be fair to say that they rose to the challenge and faced their fears. A great time was had by all!
This will be another busy week for P7. On Monday morning they will have their final visit to Ebrington to finish preparing for the parents' showcase on Thursday morning. We will send out a text tomorrow re the exact time of the event and the time the bus will leave and return to Central Drive. It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible come along to this final celebration event of their Shared Education Journey.
Finally - Friday March 16th
Naturally we will have to begin our St Patrick's Day holidays in style. As per usual we will abandon uniforms for the day and make Holy Child PS and Nursery Unit a sea of Green! Our Irish Teacher is planning a special showcase in the afternoon for our P3-P7 children and I'm sure there will be lots of other activities organised throughout the week.
Please note that this is a normal school day finishing at 1.15 in the Nursery, 2.15pm for P1/2 and 3pm P3-7 and the children are then off school on Monday and Tuesday, returning of Wednesday March 21st.
That's it for this week,
