UWe have been super busy this week in Nursery celebrating Maths Week! Our shape of the month is a triangle so we have been working hard to recognise them during our play time 🔺
On Monday, we played Shape Monsters to sort shapes and used triangles to make pumpkin faces.
On Tuesday, we looked at ‘long and short’ using bandages for our mummies. 🧟♂️ We used positional language to complete Halloween puzzles and during our sessions with Maiden City Soccer, where we also tested our colours. We practised counting to 5 when adding ingredients to our witch’s spell ✨
On Wednesday, we went on a colour hunt for orange 🧡 which is our colour of the month. We also sang Halloween number rhymes and sorted Halloween objects in the witch’s house.
On Thursday, we were looking at big/small and smallest/biggest. We enjoyed this during outdoor playtime.
