As it is Local Democracy Week, our School Council were invited down to the Guildhall to attend the City and District’s No.1 Citizen event with our Mayor and some local councillors. They got to meet the Mayor and ask her some challenging questions. They then took part in a quiz and won a prize! There was an intense debate between councillors about traffic pollution in our city with the children having to make a vote at the end to voice their opinion. It was a great chance for them to get a feel for what life is like as the Mayor and an MLA. We even got a chance to meet with our Shared Education partner school’s School Council too.
