It was with great sadness that P7A said, 'Ade!' to Miss Sarah Oelve today (our brilliant education student, all the way from Bremen), after around eight weeks of wonderful support and learning. Sarah truly revolutionised our classroom's layout, cared deeply for our pupils, enriched our school experiences with fun lessons on Germany, and left an indelible memory in the hearts and minds of us all. The children were very emotional today in seeing their German friend leave, but at least, we thanked her with an abundance of gifts and hugs. It was a personal honour for Mr. Gallagher (being a Teutonophile) to have someone from Germany in his classroom for such a long period of time. We can hardly put our gratitude into words. The pupils of P7A are eternally indebted to Sarah and will miss her sorely. Danke, Sarah!
