🕒 P5A’s Fun with Micro:Bits and Maths! 📚
This week, our fantastic P5 students took their learning to the next level by using micro:bits to code stopwatches for a practical maths lesson titled 'How Long Does It Take?'. 🖥️✨
We kicked off the session with some estimations about how long it would take to complete various activities around the school - walking the playground, running 10m and 100m, and even a visit to the library and reading a page of a book! 📏🏃♂️📖
After making our predictions, it was time for the real fun! The children used their coded micro:bits to accurately measure and record their times in a neat table. 📊💡
The best part? Comparing our findings! The students were amazed at the differences between their estimations and the actual times. Together, we engaged in a thoughtful discussion about what surprised us the most and what we learned in the process. 🤔🎉
A big well done to our P5 class for combining technology and maths in such an innovative way! We can’t wait to explore more interesting challenges like this in the future!
